The Clean-Up Crew in the Manufacturing areas performs general clean-up duties and support for a sanitary work environment. This position on occasion will also be responsible for the safe operation of forklift trucks, used to move, locate, relocate, stack and materials and products.
- Performs heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them, dumping trash cans, working from ladders, washing belts, cleaning floor drains and adjacent areas.
- This position requires following instructions and established processes and procedures.
- This position requires reading English and understanding warning labels on cleaning products.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Proper use sanitation tools, broom, dust mop, wet mop, dust pan and shovel.
- Works in a safe and sanitary manner, and follows all regulatory requirements
- Works in a timely and speed-oriented environment.
- Certified to operate Forklift trucks
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
This position has the following requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6+ months of previous forklift experience preferred.
- PC skills or previous inventory scanning experience desired.
- Physical requirements include climbing stairs, extensive use of hands/wrists, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, grasping, walking, and standing for the full shift.
- Lifting over 50lbs pounds.
- Working in variable warehouse conditions range from very cold to hot and wet to extremely dry, dusty, working with cleaning chemicals and some elevations and tight spaces.
- Flexibility as scheduled hours may vary to fit production requirements. Working weekends and overtime may be required depending on production.
- Following a general dress code to ensure safe and productive work environment.
- This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing.
- Compliance with company attendance standards.
