Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Plan and execute developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to infants’ individual needs, supporting their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
- Supervise and engage with infants during play, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships built on trust and transparency.
- Lead classroom management efforts by guiding assistant teachers and ensuring adherence to licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.
- Implement health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and emergency procedures to protect children at all times.
- Document developmental observations and maintain accurate records of each child's progress for ongoing assessment and planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with infants in daycare or preschool settings; classroom management skills are essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and caregiving best practices.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and familiarity with mandated reporting laws required. Can provide training if neccesary.
- Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes positive behavior management and social-emotional development.
- Prior experience in daycare center or preschool environments is preferred; nannying or babysitting experience is also valuable.
