Position Summary
As a mowing or landscaping foreman/crew member, you will be an integral part of the suite of softscape services we provide. You will lead a crew in the installation of ornate plantings, rough grading, fine grading, and seeding or sodding, and more. You will oversee job quality, maintain timelines, manage site planning, and ensure all work meets plan specifications and industry standards.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Four Tens)
- Overtime opportunities on Fridays
- Seasonal workload may increase hours

Responsibilities
- Lead daily softscape installation operations and manage a crew
- Run a daily mowing route efficiently and ensure all job specific tasks are completed
- Plan and organize jobsite tasks efficiently to meet deadlines
- Read and interpret plans, layouts, and installation specifications
- Ensure all work meets product specs, industry standards, and safety codes
- Oversee trucks, tools, and equipment maintenance
- Perform site grading, excavation prep, and layout
- Operate necessary machinery: skid loaders, mini‑excavators, trucks with trailers
- Solve problems on‑site and maintain job quality standards
- Communicate with team members to ensure workflow efficiency
- Communicate with clients, addressing questions/concerns that may arise
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of landscape or general construction experience
- 1+ year experience managing jobs or leading a crew
- Ability to read plans and install according to specifications and codes
- Strong problem‑solving and planning skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to drive a truck with a trailer
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (skid loader, mini‑excavator, etc.)
- Physical ability to lift, bend, kneel, squat, and work outdoors

Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
- Landscaping: planting, seeding, grading, general maintenance experience
- Excavation: machinery operation, earthwork
- Mowing: walk behind, riding, & push mowers, weed whacking
