The purpose of this position is to transport clients to and from Center, medically related appointments, social service agencies, parks and recreation programs and special events. Operates a bus to transport clients.
This class works under close to general supervision according to set procedures but determines how or when to complete tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of light automotive equipment operating principles and common hazards and safety precautions necessary for equipment operation.

Ability to operate a 78-passenger school bus.

Knowledge of street and highway routes.

Skill in the operation of light automotive equipment.

Ability to establish effective relationships with senior citizens, the general public and other City employees and to understand written and oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.

Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 30 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.

WORK HOURS
Saturday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm & Special Events (40 Hours per week; may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays to meet the business needs of the City.)
