Job Summary
Mindovation is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered Tutor/Teacher to provide high-quality academic instruction to students in grades 6–12 through one-on-one tutoring and small group classes of four students or fewer. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students succeed, creates engaging learning experiences, and builds meaningful relationships with students and families. This role is perfect for educators who enjoy teaching in a supportive environment where they can focus on individualized instruction and student growth.
Duties
- Provide engaging academic instruction in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Tutor students in middle and high school core subjects, including Math, English/Language Arts, Science, and/or Social Studies, based on expertise.
- Plan and deliver sessions that are interactive, differentiated, and aligned to student needs.
- Assist students with homework, study skills, organization, and test preparation.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Mindovation team.
- Foster a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and academic success.
- Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Uphold Mindovation's standards of professionalism, communication, and excellence.
Skills & Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience teaching and/or tutoring students in grades 6–12.
- Strong knowledge of at least one core academic subject.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to motivate students and make learning engaging.
Preferred
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Florida Teaching Certificate or equivalent teaching certification.
- Experience working with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to teach multiple subject areas.
