***Onboarding for this position will include some time in our Colorado Springs clinics to ensure consistency across clinic locations.
Job Duties:
- Provide Patient Service Functions: Manage incoming calls and message distribution; schedule patients; answer or redirect general billing or service questions/complaints; provide general service orientation to patients
- Carry Out Intake Procedures per Business Office Guidelines: assure patient completion of Intake Form; verify insurance eligibility & benefits or self-pay status; distribute Notice of Privacy Practices & obtain signed Privacy Acknowledgement; establish accurate and complete patient and payor files for all new patients; input patient demographic information into computer
- Receive and document onsite payments from patients
- Assist with and/or carry out routine cleaning, maintenance support operations of the clinic’s physical plant, patient care equipment and supplies in accordance with regulatory standards and EHS policies and procedures.
- Assist the Physical Therapist and/or the Physical Therapist Assistant with patient care and related activities following formal on the job training and competency testing.
- Comply with the Facility’s Comprehensive Compliance Plan (CCP) which includes but is not limited to: Business & Clinical Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, HIPAA, Human Resources and Code of Conduct as well as all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements associated the CCP
- Comply with all local, state and federal regulations training and instruction requirements as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services provision
- Carry out Environmental Health System duties as designated by the Director of Clinical Services

Qualifications:
- A person who has experience working in a medical office or performing customer service functions within the healthcare field.
- A person who demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities (practical &/or written, post training competency test) to perform the duties required of the position
- A person who can meet the physical demand level of the position
- Attention to detail--mathematical and data processing
- Data processing proficiency—Practice management software, Microsoft Word
- Communication skills—written, verbal and general interactive
- Organizational skills—priority setting, file maintenance & report generation
EDUCATION:
- High school or equivalent skills & aptitude required
- Health Occupations Courses in High School, desirable
- College level business course, desirable
- Basic computer courses or equivalent preparation
