Job Overview
We are a growing manufacturing company seeking a Graphic Production Associate with a minimum of 2 years' experience. In this role, you'll create, update, and modify basic drawings while supporting our graphics department's vinyl production. The position splits time between the office, the production floor, and occasional onsite local survey visits.
You'll produce graphics as well as awning layouts for customer approval and fabrication, operate the vinyl plotter, and give production staff the directions and layouts they need to apply graphics. CorelDRAW is our primary layout and vinyl production software - if you've used Flexi-SIGN, Sign Lab, or Illustrator, you'll pick it up quickly.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, production employees, and customers to support the highest quality product
- Identify and track down missing product information
- Generate purchase orders for outsourced services and materials
- Assist production with interpretating drawings.
- Produce layouts and production files for the CNC router
- Determine equipment, tools and supplies needed to install each job
- Produce graphic layouts for production approval
- Collaborate with sales staff on final graphic designs
- Operate vinyl plotters and occasionally apply vinyl graphics
Skills
- 2 years of Graphics production experience
- Strong design background in CorelDRAW, Illustrator, ECT.
- Strong communication skills & attention to details
- Exceptional independent problem-solving
- Familiarity with production design techniques including vinyl applications
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Airtable & Cloud management experience is a plus
- 2D/3D CAD experience is a plus
Growing Into the Role
Once you're up to speed on the core duties, this position expands. We'll train you as you go rather than expecting all of it on day one.
- Learning 2D AutoCAD and taking on drafting work for basic drawings
- Performing on-site measurement verifications
- Sending and receiving customer approvals
- Detailing, sending and receiving outsourced survey's
- Willingness to expand as needed in a multi-role position
