You will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by locating items in a warehouse (picking) and securely preparing them for shipment (packing). This essential role drives e-commerce and logistics operations, requiring speed, accuracy, and physical stamina to meet daily orders;
Key Responsibilities
- Order Picking: Retrieve items from designated inventory racks and bins
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage or defects and verify that the correct quantities and items match the customer's order.
- Packaging: Select the appropriate size boxes, wrap items securely using bubble wrap and seal packages to prevent movement or breakage during transit.
- Labeling: Accurately apply shipping labels, barcodes, and any required hazardous material or fragile stickers to packages.
- Inventory Control: Notify management of low stock, report discrepancies, and assist with general cycle counts. [1, 2]
- Workplace Safety: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols and maintain a clean workstation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift or move packages ranging from 25 to 50 pounds.
- Education: A High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of Shopify a plus.
