Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
- Perform initial patient assessments by taking medical histories and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans.
- Capture high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation of treatments, medical histories, and billing information.
- Maintain strict infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing dental equipment, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Hands-on experience with digital radiography (dental X-ray) systems and EMR/EHR management platforms such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable, along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education and building trustful relationships.
- Ability to review clinical documentation accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
