Position Summary
We are seeking a driven Apprentice Electrician to support our expanding portfolio of commercial electrical and energy-efficiency projects. This role is hands-on and field-focused—ideal for those interested in next-generation electrical systems, including LED retrofits, lighting control commissioning, EV charging infrastructure, and renewables feasibility installations. The position involves working alongside licensed journeyman/master electricians across the Intermountain region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and retrofit of commercial-grade electrical systems, lighting technologies, and EV charging stations.
- Learn and apply NEC code compliance under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
- Support diagnostics and commissioning of lighting control systems, sensors, and timers.
- Help conduct Sherpa Service deliverables like infrared scans and emergency lighting tests.
- Prepare and maintain job documentation, inventory tracking, and field service logs.
- Collaborate with project leads to uphold jobsite safety, customer communication, and quality control.
- Travel to project sites across Utah and occasionally into nearby Intermountain states.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in a state-registered Electrical Apprenticeship Program is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated work ethic, punctuality, and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with basic hand/power tools, multimeters, and field safety practices.
- Strong communication skills with clients, supervisors, and team members.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical labor.
- Valid Utah Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work in a variety of commercial and light industrial environments.
