Modification Loan Processor
Location: Latham, NY
Job Type: Employee – Full Time
About the Job:
The position of Modification Loan Processor will require direct client contact and will be a valuable member of the support team for the Servicing and Modification Departments. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of what is necessary from an underwriting standpoint on commercial loan requests.
What You’ll Do:
- Handle the current pipeline of modification requests to ensure timely communication and updates to all parties involved.
- Monitor account status of loans, including but not limited to Past Due Accounts, Maturing Loans and Deferment Requests.
- Review Commercial Loan Documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies, and SBA rules and regulations.
- Interact with customers in a timely manner regarding new modification requests and documentation requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and patient during stressful situations.
- Ability to work under pressure, deadlines, and have excellent time management skills.
- Experienced in borrower problem solving relative to modification requests.
- Candidates should have an understanding of personal and business financial documents.
Other Responsibilities:
- Review insurance certificates for compliance with SBA and Pursuit policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with uploading file documents in accordance with completion of Quality Assurance Reviews.
- Compile and review internal and external documents for standby debt and life insurance requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Modification Loan Processor with strong interpersonal skills who checks most of these boxes:
- Education: Associate degree in a related field, required.
- 2 years of commercial banking experience.
- Prior experience working in a customer service environment and managing customer expectations on an ongoing basis.
- Able to multi-task and meet frequent deadlines.
- Consistently produce high-quality work.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Final candidates must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including background, criminal and credit check, and drug testing.

Additional Information:
We will give consideration to and provide training for veterans interested in a career in finance/ banking provided that the applicant has completed at least two years of college with an accredited institution.

Based on our compensation benchmarking survey, the estimated salary range for this position is $42,000 – $74, 500 and is commensurate with education and experience.
