Description
SAIC is seeking a Logistics Analyst to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support logistics operations for complex defense systems, including inventory management, property accountability, and lifecycle sustainment.
- Conduct shipping, receiving, storage, issuance, requisitioning, and tracking of equipment, repair parts, and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment configurations, serial numbers, inventories, and asset accountability documentation.
- Coordinate material movements, transportation needs, and equipment transfers across government, contractor, and field organizations.
- Assist in developing and implementing logistics processes that enhance operational efficiency, readiness, and mission success.
- Manage multiple assignments while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with government personnel, program offices, contractors, and field units.
- Prepare reports, logistics documentation, inventory records, and status briefings for leadership and customers.
- Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams supporting multiple weapon system programs.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:

BS degree and six (6) years’ experience; Additional six (6) years’ related experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements:

Must possess an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
-
Demonstrated experience supporting logistics operations for complex defense systems, including inventory management, property accountability, supply support, and lifecycle sustainment activities.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while maintaining compliance with government regulations, policies, and contractual requirements.

Experience shipping, receiving, storing, issuing, requisitioning, and tracking equipment, repair parts, and associated materials in support of system fielding, testing, and sustainment activities.

Maintain accurate records of equipment configurations, serial numbers, inventories, and asset accountability documentation.

Coordinate material movements, transportation requirements, and equipment transfers between government, contractor, and field organizations.

Assist in the development and implementation of logistics processes that improve operational efficiency, readiness, and mission support.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with Government personnel, program offices, contractors, and field units.

Experience preparing reports, logistics documentation, inventory records, and status briefings for management and customers.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting multiple weapon system programs.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for data analysis, inventory management, reporting, and operational tracking.

Ability to learn and effectively utilize government logistics, inventory, and property accountability systems.
Desired Skills:
-
Working knowledge of the Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS), Auto Scan Tracking System (ASTS), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and other Army logistics management systems.

Experience supporting Army Air and Missile Defense programs, including ADAM Cell, APNT, IBCS, AMDPCS, IFMC, or related systems.

Knowledge of Army supply procedures, property accountability regulations, and inventory control practices.

Experience conducting inventories, audits, property book reconciliations, and equipment accountability inspections.

Experience coordinating logistics activities across multiple organizations, commands, and levels of management.

Familiarity with Government Furnished Property (GFP) management and contractor property accountability requirements.

Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
