Summary
The Oxford Area High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to lead and oversee and manage our high school broadcasting program. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for media, education, and student engagement. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, producing, and managing a variety of broadcasting projects that enhance our school community and provide students with hands-on experience in media production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive broadcasting curriculum that aligns with educational standards and student interests.
- Oversee the production of daily announcements, school news segments, and special event coverage and athletic and student activity events.
- Mentor and guide students in all aspects of broadcasting, including scriptwriting, video production, editing, and on-air presentation.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to promote school events and initiatives through various media platforms.
- Manage broadcasting equipment and technology, ensuring all tools are maintained and updated as necessary.
- Organize workshops and training sessions for students to enhance their skills in broadcasting and media production.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student creativity and collaboration.
- Coordinate with local media outlets and community organizations to promote student work and school activities.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their growth in broadcasting skills.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in broadcasting and media education.
