Our client is an empowering and nurturing pre-school special education network with schools throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Their mission is to provide students with special needs the resources, support, and individualized education they need to thrive both academically and personally.
They are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join their team and contribute to their mission of making a lasting impact in children’s lives. This is a 12 month program
Schedule: 8A-3P, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $18.00 an hour
Job Type: Long-term contract
Duties:
- Helping students learn and reinforce lessons, especially for students with special needs
- Assisting students with disabilities in meeting their IEPs
- Communicating with students and helping them understand lessons
- Performing clerical tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- At least 6 months working with special needs children in a preschool setting
