Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and dependable Owner Operators to join our dynamic delivery team! As an Owner Operator, you will leverage your own cargo van, box truck, or straight truck to provide efficient, reliable delivery services. Duties
- Safely operate your own cargo van, box truck, or straight truck to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and company policies during route driving.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries using mobile devices, including delivery confirmations and route logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during drop-offs and pickups.
- Maintain vehicle safety through regular inspections, safe lifting practices, and proper maintenance routines.
- Follow prescribed routes efficiently while managing time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services with a focus on route driving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not required depending on truck size.
- Experience operating box trucks or straight trucks; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus.
- Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform manual handling tasks in accordance with safety standards.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling in the workplace.
- Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation and documentation purposes.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards and adherence to all regulations.
