We are looking for a Traveling Orthodontic / RDA assistant to join our growing team - across several locations!
The orthodontic assistant is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing direct patient care including: insertion of dental appliances, placement of orthodontic brackets and wires, taking dental impressions, along with other general dentistry as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Prep: Seating patients, explaining procedures, ensuring comfort.
- Assisting During Procedures: Handing instruments to the orthodontist, preparing treatment areas, helping with braces, aligners, retainers, bands, and wires.
- Taking Records: Capturing X-rays, photos, and digital impressions/molds of teeth.
- Appliance Care: Performing minor adjustments, changing wires, and removing appliances.
- Sterilization: Cleaning and disinfecting instruments and equipment.
- Education: Instructing patients on proper oral hygiene and appliance care.
- Comfort: Building rapport and easing anxiety with friendly communication.
- Record Keeping: Updating patient charts and treatment notes.
Must Have current RDA License & First Aid / CPR certifications.
Bonuses, Travel Pay, and Travel Expenses Paid. Some overnight stay may be required serving the San Antonio, Dallas / Fort Worth, Floresville, Portland, Texas areas.
Company Vehicle will be utilized for travel along with other staff.
