Summary
Directs and coordinates all activities of the Shelby manufacturing organization and facility to obtain optimum efficiency and overall safety of operations by performing the following duties personally or through team members. This position has full P&L responsibility for the Shelby manufacturing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Takes appropriate measures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees

Responsible for overall visual presentation of facility and equipment to maintain a world class experience for both employees and customers

Responsible for plant operations to meet financial targets

Assists with budget preparation for Operations unit

Ensure quality standards exist and are followed to meet or exceed customer expectations

Drives continuous improvement through strategies and programs to improve productivity and efficiency

Conduct employee meetings on a regular basis to communicate company, supplier or customer information
-
Develops, along with team members, overall future plans for equipment and plant layout to support continuous improvement and future business

Responsible for the development of plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees, along with contingency planning

Determines labor needs to meet production goals.

Identifies and provides opportunities for growth and development of team members
-
Responsible for overseeing day-to-day priorities of all facility Operation teams

Supports new product development and program launch

All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
-
Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable all Operation Teams in assigned manufacturing facility. This includes:

Hire and train new employees
-
Organize and oversee the schedules and work of assigned staff
-
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
-
Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications / Experience / Education

Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred with a minimum ten years of related experience OR
-
Minimum Ten+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.

Previous high-volume automotive manufacturing experience
-
10 years of Operations, Production & Technical Team leadership experience
