Job Summary
Join our dedicated emergency response team as a 911 Dispatcher, where your quick thinking and clear communication will be vital in providing life-saving assistance to the community. Duties
- Answer incoming multi-line phone calls promptly using specialized dispatch systems, providing courteous and professional phone etiquette.
- Assess emergency situations through effective phone triage, gathering critical information to determine the appropriate response.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, EMS, or other emergency services swiftly using GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to pinpoint locations accurately.
- Maintain detailed data entry and transcription records of all communications, ensuring accuracy for legal and operational purposes.
- Utilize analysis skills to prioritize incidents based on severity and coordinate resources accordingly.
- Manage security protocols by monitoring radio communications and ensuring the safety of all personnel involved in emergency responses.
- Handle conflict management situations with calm negotiation skills while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Perform routine data entry tasks related to incident reports, logs, and dispatch records with high typing speed and precision.
- Collaborate effectively with first responders and other agencies to facilitate seamless emergency operations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of medical terminology and first aid procedures to assist callers until help arrives.
