Lead Generator Installer
American Electrical Contracting is seeking an experienced Lead Generator Installer to help grow our Generator Division. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for leading generator installation projects while mentoring installers and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
As a leader within our Generator Division, you will play a key role in delivering reliable backup power solutions, developing team members, and helping build a growing specialty division within our organization.

What You'll Do
- Lead generator installation projects from start to finish
- Install generators, transfer switches, electrical equipment, and associated systems
- Coordinate crews, materials, tools, equipment, and jobsite activities
- Perform startup, testing, and operational verification of installed systems
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, builders, inspectors, and vendors
- Ensure work meets company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes
- Complete project documentation and required reports
- Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship
- Support the continued growth and success of the Generator Division
Qualifications
- Journeyman License preferred.
- Experience installing standby generator systems preferred
- Strong electrical installation and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical plans, specifications, and wiring diagrams
- Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead crews
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to organize projects and coordinate multiple activities effectively
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
