Position Summary
The Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or ARRT-Eligible Technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic radiographs while providing outstanding patient care. This individual works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to support efficient clinic operations and ensure patients receive exceptional orthopedic care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographs following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Verify patient identity and accurately document imaging within the electronic medical record.
- Maintain radiology equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks.
- Follow radiation safety standards and infection prevention guidelines.
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient care as needed.
- Maintain imaging supplies and notify leadership of equipment or supply needs.
- Keep imaging rooms clean, organized, and ready for patient care.
- Collaborate with providers and teammates to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Participate in evening clinic coverage and rotating Saturday clinic coverage as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification preferred.
- ARRT-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Missouri Radiologic Technologist licensure (if applicable) or ability to obtain upon hire.
- BLS certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Experience obtaining quality diagnostic radiographs in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Orthopedic imaging experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to work scheduled evening clinic hours and rotating Saturdays.
ARRT-eligible technologists must obtain ARRT certification within 90 days of employment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to assist patients with positioning for imaging procedures. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and possess the visual acuity necessary to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
