HG Clinical Health Educator, RN
HER Foundation (Hyperemesis Gravidarum Education & Research Foundation)
Pay Range: $65,000-$70,000. This is a 1099 twelve-month grant funded position with the opportunity to extend into a multiyear contract.
Position Summary The HG Clinical Health Educator (Registered Nurse) plays a key clinical and educational role within the HER Foundations Provider Partnership Network. This position focuses primarily on building provider partnerships and expanding education initiatives, while providing as-needed support to the Case Management Program and other clinical education functions. The role combines experience in Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) with clinical expertise to improve provider knowledge and promote high-quality, evidence-based standard of care and support for patients and families.
Primary Responsibilities
Provider Partnerships Program
- Develop and maintain relationships with obstetric, primary care, specialty providers, clinics, education institutions and health systems.
- Serve as a clinical liaison to support adoption of evidence-based HG protocols and tools.
- Coordinate provider outreach, onboarding, and ongoing engagement and feedback activities.
CME & Education
- Design, develop, and deliver continuing medical education (CME) content and educational materials.
- Create clinical toolkits, case-based learning modules, and patient-facing educational resources.
- Complete accreditation processes and documentation for CME activities.
- Present or co-present educational sessions (virtual and in-person) to clinicians.
- Stay current with emerging research, guidelines, and best practices in maternal health topics.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist clinical team with client triage, coordination guidance, and connection to clinical resources.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (advocacy, research, patient support, and operations) to ensure clinical accuracy and mission alignment across Foundation programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program metrics and reporting.
- Uphold HIPAA, ethical standards, and the Foundation’s commitment to patient-centered, trauma-informed care.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (multi-state compact preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in obstetrics.
- Demonstrated experience in CME development or health professional training.
- Strong knowledge of Hyperemesis Gravidarum or willingness to rapidly develop deep expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to clinical audiences.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency with standard digital tools (Google Workspace, Zoom, learning management systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in nonprofit, public health education, particularly in maternal health advocacy programs.
- Experience developing or delivering accredited CME content.
- Familiarity with crisis intervention, care coordination, case management, or high-acuity patient support models.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
