Summer Work! Seeking Experienced School Bus Monitors for BOCES Summer School. Guaranteed minimum 5 hours a day!
$21.00 Must have school bus monitor experience with 10 Hour Basic Course Certificate.
Join us for the Summer session. Starting July 6th through August 14th 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise students during bus rides to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they follow proper safety procedures.
- Maintain order and discipline on the bus, addressing any behavioral issues that may arise.
- Communicate with the bus driver and school staff regarding any concerns or incidents during the bus ride.
- Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring their specific requirements are met.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment on the bus, promoting respect and cooperation among students.
- Educate students on proper bus behavior and safety rules.
Qualifications:
- MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD
- Must have school bus monitor experience. All others need not apply.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to manage conflicts and behavioral issues in a calm and professional manner.
- Familiarity with special education practices and techniques.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle unexpected challenges.
