Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and highly responsible Armed Security Guard with an active MS Security Guard Card to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This role involves monitoring activities through surveillance systems, conducting patrols, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your expertise in law enforcement, military experience, or security operations will be instrumental in maintaining a secure environment. Duties
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity and prevent theft or vandalism.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, utilizing manual handling techniques and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Manage access control by verifying identification, performing background checks on visitors or contractors, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter secure zones.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations while maintaining safety for all individuals involved.
- Perform first aid procedures including CPR and AED operation when required; administer basic life support until professional help arrives.
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices and conduct loss prevention activities to safeguard assets effectively.
Experience
- Prior experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency with surveillance systems like CCTV and familiarity with security technology tools.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures including CPR and AED use; certification is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely during patrols or incident responses.
- Experience conducting background checks or performing screening procedures for visitors or employees is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with a proven ability to handle stressful situations professionally and calmly.
