Cochran Lawn & Shrub is looking for the right experienced person to join our team in the Raymore area. We are a small, growing lawn and landscape company, and we place a high value on integrity, reliability, quality work, and being teachable.
This is not an entry-level mowing position. Professional commercial mowing experience is required.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating commercial mowing equipment and has experience maintaining a variety of properties, including residential, commercial, HOA, and larger properties.
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, demonstrated ability, and reliability.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating commercial stand-on and/or zero-turn mowers
- String trimming, edging, and blowing
- Mowing a variety of property sizes and conditions
- Loading, unloading, and properly handling equipment
- Maintaining a professional appearance on customer properties
- Taking care of company trucks, trailers, mowers, and equipment
- Working efficiently as part of a crew
- Assisting with seasonal lawn and landscape work as needed
What we are looking for:
- At least 18 years old
- Previous professional commercial mowing experience
- Experience operating commercial stand-on and/or zero-turn equipment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Dependable transportation to our starting location in Raymore
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Willingness to take direction and learn our standards and procedures

Schedule
This is currently a full-time seasonal position. Our season generally runs through December, depending on weather and workload. Weekly hours can vary based on weather and seasonal demand.
We are not simply looking to fill a position as quickly as possible. We are looking for someone with the right combination of experience, reliability, work ethic, integrity, and willingness to learn.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
