Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation procedures.
- Install architectural sheet metal components including roofing panels, siding, flashing, gutters, and trim with precision and attention to detail.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, assemble, and secure metal parts according to specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with construction safety regulations such as the use of safety harnesses and proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities on-site.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to workplace safety standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently throughout each project phase.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on sheet metal installation or related trades such as roofing, siding installation, or framing carpentry.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes including metal forming and welding techniques.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols including the use of safety harnesses and adherence to workplace safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and scaffolding setup.
- Additional skills in masonry, tile laying, caulking, stucco application or remodeling are advantageous but not required.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics related to plumbing or electrical systems is a plus for comprehensive project understanding.
Pay: $26.77 per hour
