Job Summary
NY Elder Care Planning is seeking an experienced Medicaid Enrollment Advisor to assist clients and families with navigating New York State Medicaid eligibility, applications, recertifications, MLTC enrollment, and long-term care planning. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of NYS Medicaid regulations and be passionate about helping seniors and individuals access the services they need.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients through the New York Medicaid application and enrollment process.
- Assist with Medicaid recertifications, renewals, and documentation requirements.
- Educate clients and families on Medicaid eligibility, community Medicaid, MLTC plans, and long-term care options.
- Review financial and supporting documents to ensure accurate application submission.
- Coordinate with clients, family members, social workers, attorneys, and healthcare providers.
- Track application status and follow up with Medicaid offices as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and case documentation.
- Stay current with New York State Medicaid policies and regulations. Similar enrollment positions commonly require expertise in eligibility screening, documentation, and enrollment support.
Qualifications
- Experience with New York State Medicaid enrollment, eligibility, or long-term care services.
- Knowledge of MLTC plans, community Medicaid, and Medicaid recertification processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Experience in home care, healthcare, social services, or elder care preferred.
