What You’ll Do
The Junior Analyst will perform in-depth research and data curation tasks in support of business, supply chain, technology, and market intelligence research shaping our clients’ international strategy, investment, and purchasing decisions. Junior Analysts will support due diligence and commercial supply chain analyses with a focus on identifying risks associated with mergers & acquisitions activity, political risk, theft of intellectual property, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and sanctions violations.
All Analysts are expected to have a keen attention to detail, be adaptable to different business sectors and geographies, work well in a collaborative office environment, and bring creativity and enthusiasm to develop new methods to better conduct and deliver research to our clients.
Data Creation & Development
- Enter and manage data into a proprietary research database to deliver on demand insights for customers.
- Receive, gather, analyze, and organize data from open-source resources and proprietary information.
- Create, clean, curate, and develop unique structured datasets from unstructured information.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct internet-based research and data collection in support of analytical production.
- Interpret and analyze datasets for trends and patterns to enhance analytical findings for clients.
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA degree and 0-3 years research and/or data entry experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills
- Experience with data transformation and data visualization techniques.
- Knowledge of geospatial applications (ArcGIS, QGIS, and/or Google Earth)
- Foreign language skills
- Exposure to supply chain and technology topics
- US Government security clearance is a plus
- Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, R, SQL, etc.) and automated open-source intelligence tools (i.e. web scraping) is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
