About the project:
We're building an immersive art installation experience — combining custom light design, sound design, and sculptural/spatial art — designed to help people regulate their nervous systems through guided somatic practice. The work includes a research component studying how arousal and pleasure affect nervous system regulation, an understudied area especially when it comes to women's bodies.
What we need funding for:
- Design and build of the art installation, lighting, and sound systems
- R&D for the research component — equipment, survey tools, and potential researcher partnerships
What we're looking for:
A grant writer to help us find and apply for funding supporting:
- Immersive/experiential art and installation development
- Light and sound design for experiential work
- Somatic and nervous-system health research
- Women's health and pleasure research
- Artist/creative residencies with a technology or R&D component
Role (unpaid/volunteer): research and shortlist aligned grants, draft narrative/budget sections, track deadlines.
What you'll get: co-writer credit, testimonial for portfolio, comped event seat, first right of refusal on future paid work.
Pay: $53,477.35 - $64,402.83 per year
