Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and become a vital contributor to precision machining excellence! In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive our manufacturing processes forward. We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about craftsmanship and innovation.
Duties
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems
- Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM programming software to optimize machining processes
- Interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to ensure precise manufacturing
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including electrical discharge machining (EDM) tools, tooling setups, and hand tools
- Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, feeds, speeds, and other machining parameters
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards such as proper use of power tools, welding equipment, and forklift operation when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages like G-code or M-code; experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software is highly desirable
- Familiarity with GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of plastics injection molding processes or metal fabrication is a plus
- Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with tooling selection, setup procedures, and the use of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs
- Basic understanding of electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding techniques, and lean manufacturing principles is advantageous
- Valid certification or training in safety protocols related to manufacturing environments; forklift certification is preferred but not required
Embark on a career where your skills make a tangible difference! We’re committed to fostering growth through continuous learning opportunities in advanced machining techniques. Join us to be part of an innovative team dedicated to precision craftsmanship!
