Journey Adult Day Program is a new adult day program in Lodi. We serve adults with developmental disabilities in a brand-new Medical Day Service program vendored by Valley Mountain Regional Center. Every position is Monday-Friday, DAYTIME ONLY - no nights, no weekends, no holidays.
Start a career, not just a job. We are building the founding direct-care team for a brand-new adult day program in Lodi. No experience required - we train and certify you, and our pay ladder means you advance WITHOUT having to become a manager.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support adults with developmental disabilities during daytime program hours (1 staff to 2 clients)
- Help with daily living activities and lead fun, meaningful groups: life skills, music, fitness, community outings
- Work toward each person's individual goals alongside a supportive team (nurses, behavior specialist, supervisors)
- Document your day - we teach you how
YOUR CAREER LADDER (real, written, certification-based)
- DSP I ($19.50-$21.00): entry - we provide orientation and all required certifications
- DSP II ($21.00-$23.00): after 12 months + California DSP Year 1 certificate (we pay for it)
- Senior DSP ($23.00-$25.00): after 24 months + Year 2 certificate; mentor new staff
- Add-ons on top of any level: +$0.75/hr Behavior Technician, +$0.50/hr outing lead, +$0.50/hr bilingual
- Promotion path: Supervisor ($26-$32/hr), Program Manager, and leadership roles at our new sites opening soon
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED
- Pass DOJ/FBI fingerprint background check (we pay the fee) + TB test and health screening
- Caring, reliable, and ready to learn - experience with developmental disabilities is a plus, not a requirement
How our hiring works: apply on Indeed; phone screen; in-person interview at 550 W. Century Blvd., Lodi. Offers are contingent on DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance (we pay the Live Scan fee), a health screening with negative TB test, and reference checks. We provide paid certification training (CPR/First Aid, Pro-ACT, and California DSP certification courses) after hire.
