In-House Leasing Agent – Apartment Community
Position Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our on-site management team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for leasing apartments, assisting prospective residents throughout the application and move-in process, and delivering exceptional resident service while helping maintain high occupancy levels within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct apartment tours and effectively present community features, amenities, and floor plans to prospective residents
- Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and in person in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to convert leads into signed leases
- Process rental applications, verify required documentation, and assist with lease execution
- Coordinate move-ins, renewals, and resident communications
- Maintain accurate prospect and resident records within property management software
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and leasing activity within the area
- Assist with resident retention initiatives and renewal efforts
- Ensure model units, common areas, and grounds are clean and presentable at all times
- Support marketing and outreach initiatives, including social media and local community engagement
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure resident satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with apartment leasing or multifamily housing
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing practices
- Familiarity with CRM or property management systems such as Yardi, AppFolio, or MRI
