Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and customer service. This role is critical in ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers and electrical systems.
- Utilize welding skills for repairs and modifications as necessary.
- Interpret schematics to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Oversee maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior technicians or maintenance staff as needed.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Assist with residential painting projects as part of facility upkeep.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a strong mechanical background.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for diagnostics.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) is preferred.
- Experience in welding techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous for leading teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
