Job Summary
Join our team as a Kennel Technician and become a part of providing exceptional care for our furry friends! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our clinic. Your attention to detail will ensure each pet receives top-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and disinfecting procedures.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring their comfort and security
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to promote health and well-being
- Monitor animal behavior closely, identifying signs of stress or illness and reporting concerns promptly
- Assist the technicians when needed
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary experience is preferred
- Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling is a plus
- Prior knowledge of kennel operations, animal behavior, and pet grooming is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting safely when handling large animals
- Commitment to maintaining a sanitized environment through proper cleaning and facility sanitization practices
