We are seeking a skilled and dependable Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating press brakes and other sheet meta fabrication equipment to produce high-quality components that meet customer specifications. Depending on experience, operators may perform advanced machine setups, troubleshoot complex parts, mentor team members, and assist with maintaining departmental operations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for safely setting up and operating press brakes and other sheet metal fabrication equipment to manufacture quality parts that meet customer specifications. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, loading tooling and machine programs, performing machine setups, inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools, and maintaining quality standards while minimizing scrap. Operators are expected to perform routine machine maintenance, maintain a clean and safe work area, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experienced operators may also set up and operate all equipment within the department, troubleshoot complex parts, mentor and train team members, maintain inspection tooling, support preventative maintenance activities, and provide technical guidance to help ensure efficient department operations.
What We're Looking For
We are hiring Press Brake Operators at multiple skill levels. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented Press Brake Operator who is committed to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience operating brake presses or other sheet metal fabrication equipment, can read and interpret blueprints, and is proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and angle finders. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to set up and operate machinery while maintaining quality standards and minimizing scrap. We value individuals who work well independently as well as collaboratively, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and are eager to learn and grow within the organization. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, vocational or trade school training is a plus, and candidates should possess two or more years of relevant experience, with opportunities available for more experienced operators. Forklift certification is required for experienced-level positions.
