POSITION SUMMARY
The Rigger is responsible for aiding employees or clients in loading material, equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving using hand and power tools

Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using appropriate bolts and clamps

Control the movement of heavy equipment or material through narrow openings or confined spaces

Manipulate rigging lines, hoists and pulling gear to move or support equipment or materials

Signal or verbally direct individuals engaged in hoisting and moving loads

Test rigging equipment routinely

Assist welders or fitters in grinding, leveling and preparing materials to be installed

Perform fire watch when required

Maintain clean working areas and practice good housekeeping

Dismantle, clean and return tools and equipment to proper place after use

Obey and follow all safety rules and policies

Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)

Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-
High School diploma or equivalent education
-
1+ year rigging experience preferred
-
Basic level written and communication skills
-
Ability to preform basic level mathematical skills
-
Experience operating equipment used in rigging procedures
-
Must be reliable and have good time management skills

For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
