Position Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of workers engaged in material movement, handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining warehouse stock.
Essential Job Functions
- Enforce operational procedures related to verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling, disposition of materials, and maintaining current warehouse inventory.
- Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing; direct day to day warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
- Inspect physical conditions of the warehouse and equipment; prepare work orders for repairs and requisition replacement of equipment.
- Review work processes and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product or service quality; suggest changes to working conditions to increase efficiency; maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation.
- Assist employees, vendors, and customers by answering questions related to production processes, procedures, and services; mentor and train team members; handle general employee inquiries; resolve problems; conduct performance evaluations for warehouse staff.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of reporting on warehouse activities and productivity, including timesheets, yields, pounds per man hour, and reduction of downtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Four years of warehouse experience.
- Two years of leadership experience.

Licenses/Certifications
- Pallet jack and forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Experience with SAP.
- One year of experience in a distribution facility.

Environmental / Working Conditions
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st and/or 2nd shift.
- Ability to work in temperatures between 35°F and 95°F; may occasionally exceed 95°F.

Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers in repetitive motions.
- Frequently required to walk and reach overhead.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
- Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
- Noise levels range from normal office levels to loud warehouse environments.
