About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Structural Analyst to join a dynamic engineering team working on cutting-edge technology. This is an opportunity to take on challenging structural analysis projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the development and optimization of complex mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis using computational methods, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to evaluate and validate designs.
- Conduct load calculations involving static, dynamic, seismic, wind, and thermal loads.
- Apply military specifications, engineering design practices, and material standards to ensure compliance.
- Develop and optimize structural models for components and complete systems.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers and project managers to incorporate structural requirements into designs.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee prototype testing and validate simulation results against real-world test data.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses to optimize material usage while maintaining system performance and reliability.
- Maintain databases of material properties and structural test data.
- Research emerging materials and innovative structural concepts to improve future designs.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Advanced experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Hands-on experience with ANSYS Workbench and APDL.
- Strong understanding of structural dynamics, vibrations, and multi-degree-of-freedom motion systems.
- Experience solving linear and nonlinear dynamic and vibration problems using numerical methods and signal processing.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as MATLAB and MathCAD.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
