Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, and other appliances critical to daily operations.
- Operate company vehicles safely for maintenance tasks that require transportation across multiple sites or facilities.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and service manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct HVAC & appliance technology repairs including air conditioning units, heating systems, and refrigeration components.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects or equipment upgrades to ensure safety standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with team members about maintenance schedules or issues needing attention.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, or mechanical systems repair.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair including air conditioning and heating units; refrigeration experience is highly valued.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance of kitchen equipment and other mechanical systems within commercial environments.
- Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), including equipment repair and preventative maintenance routines.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building infrastructure is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Strong customer service skills combined with leadership qualities to guide team efforts effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining safety standards.
