Position: Maintenance Supervisor – Residential Apartment Building | Kent, WA
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of a large 150+ unit residential apartment community in Kent, WA. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively, and is committed to maintaining a safe and well-functioning property.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and Company directives related to building operations and workplace safety.
- Performs and oversees day-to-day repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance to ensure the property remains in excellent condition.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues with building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Performs painting, carpentry, and a variety of other skilled trades tasks as needed.
- Maintains and repairs buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment in a timely and professional manner.
- Sources and coordinates parts, supplies, and equipment from local vendors and on-site inventory.
- Collaborates with property management and ownership to prioritize and complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Serves as an active and supportive team member, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintains regular, professional communication with property management, residents, and fellow staff members.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property maintenance, building construction, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Must hold all certifications required by State and local jurisdictions (applicable to both Certified and Non-Certified Service Technicians).
- Must supply own hand tools and demonstrate proficiency in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 per hour
