Job Overview
Spring Hill State Bank is seeking a detail oriented and customer focused Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in helping customers achieve homeownership by ensuring loan files are accurate, complete, and ready for underwriting and closing.
Responsibilities
- Review residential mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, title companies, insurance agents, and other third parties throughout the loan process.
- Collect and verify required documentation
- Monitor loan files to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Order and track appraisals, title work, flood certifications, homeowner's insurance, and other required items.
- Identify and resolve documentation deficiencies and processing issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate loan records and provide regular status updates to borrowers and loan officers.
- Assist in preparing files for underwriting approval and loan closing.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while guiding borrowers through the mortgage process.
Qualifications
- Recommended previous mortgage processing, banking, or financial services experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan origination software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
