At North End Taproom, we bring a unique, self-service experience to our guests by allowing them to pour their own drinks and order food seamlessly. Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Beer Ambassador to join our team. This role goes beyond standard hosting duties, offering additional responsibilities to support the smooth operation of our taproom. You will lead by example, assist with training new team members, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and serve as a go-to person during weekend evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Engagement:
- Welcome guests and provide detailed explanations of our self-pour system.
- Offer drink recommendations based on guest preferences and answer questions about our food and drink menu.
- Troubleshoot any guest issues related to the self-pour system or ordering process.
- Step in to address escalated guest concerns or operational challenges.
- Operations:
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of the taproom during shifts.
- Ensure compliance with safety and alcohol service policies.
- Monitor inventory levels for self-pour taps and notify management of any shortages.
- Leadership:
- Be a reliable presence during weekend nights, managing the flow of operations.
- Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in hospitality, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for craft beer and ability to discuss beer styles and pairings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with both guests and team members.
- Weekend evening availability is a must.
- Basic understanding of technology used in self-pour systems (training provided).
- Leadership experience is a plus but not required.
