American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular Unit position requiring cardiac stepdown/PCU experience and current AHA certifications.

Mixed cardiovascular floor in a hospital setting, housed in a newer tower with in-room monitors
-
24-bed unit consisting of 12 Step-Down beds and 12 Med-Surg beds
-
Patient population includes cardiac rehab, pre/post cardiac procedures, and cardiac stabilizations
-
Responsibilities include chest tube management, drip management, and a blend of med-surg and stepdown-level care

May be required to interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms and rates

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

13-week contract

Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current eNLC compact license) required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Cardiac unit experience with stepdown/PCU background required

Familiarity with chest tubes and vasoactive/cardiac drips required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Collaborates with cardiac rehab, education teams, and interdisciplinary staff on discharge planning and care coordination

Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
-
Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one extension) before being eligible for another contract

Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
