We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Auditor to join our team. The Staff Auditor will be responsible for examining and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Participates in the planning of the engagements—audits, reviews, or compilations.
- Performs audit, review, or compilation procedures that are consistent with work assigned by his/her supervisors.
- Performs various audit steps in less complex audit areas on a variety of clients; prepares working papers to support conclusions in accordance with audit standards.
- Keep engagement audit senior and manager informed of the status of any issues identified that may impact the client
- Maintain a good, professional working relationship with clients to enhance client satisfaction
- Communicates results and/or issues verbally to in-charge supervisor.
- Attends and participates in other duties as assigned
- Identify areas of financial risk and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with other team members to complete audit projects in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a business-related field of study
- Interest in pursuing licensure or CPA exam participant or CPA candidate.
- at least 1 year of relevant work experience in auditing services in a CPA firm or professional services practice
- Strong work ethic along with an ability to self-manage and take initiative
- Ability to complete assigned tasks and competing priorities in a fast-paced, interactive results-based environment
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial concepts
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
