Lead Teacher for Threes Program

About the Role
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Lead Teacher for our three year old program to create a safe, nurturing, Christian learning environment for preschool children. You will lead a classroom, plan engaging lessons, support child development, and build strong relationships with families.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement daily lessons and routines in accordance with center's curriculum and standards
- Supervise and care for children in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate way
- Ensure children’s health, safety, and well‑being
- Maintain a clean, organized, engaging classroom
- Conduct daily health checks and developmental assessments
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Follow all center and state regulations
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and school events
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of child development
- Positive, patient, nurturing, team‑oriented
- Effective communication and classroom management
- Ability to stay calm and think clearly under pressure
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and carrying children
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year experience in a licensed childcare or elementary setting
- Completion of required DCF 45-hour training and ongoing in‑service hours
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- CDA or Early Childhood degree preferred
- Successful completion of Florida Background Screening; Notice: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of Florida’s required background screening.
