Position Summary
Neill Aircraft Company is seeking a Deburr Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for removing sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections from machined and fabricated metal components to ensure they meet engineering specifications and customer quality requirements. This position plays an important role in preparing precision aerospace parts for inspection and final assembly while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material using hand tools, rotary tools, grinders, files, sanders, and other deburring equipment.

Smooth, polish, and finish metal components according to work instructions and customer specifications.

Verify that the correct materials and quantities have been issued before beginning work.

Accurately record productions activities using company's ERP system (Epicor).

Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.

Follow AS9100 quality requirements and company procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Communicate production issues or quality concerns to department lead.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or mechanical environment preferred.

Ability to read and follow written work instructions.

Basic computer skills for production tracking and time reporting.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous aerospace manufacturing experience with deburring machined or fabricated metal parts preferred.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing for extended periods while performing repetitive hand and wrist movements using hand tools and finishing equipment. Employees must be able to frequently use their hands for detailed work, bend, reach, and occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Good close vision, depth perception, and attention to detail are essential for inspecting and finishing precision aerospace components. Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing environment where employees regularly work around machinery, power tools, and moving mechanical equipment. Exposure to metal dust, airborne particles, industrial noise, and manufacturing chemicals may occur. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and employees are expected to follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
