We are hiring a Line Cook for our weekend brunch service at Maricel’s Kitchen.
Our main need is someone who can work Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, plus Fridays or Thursdays for prep. Depending on your availability, we may also offer additional shifts for catering, private events, cooking classes, and special dinners.
This is a hands-on kitchen role. You will prep food, work the line during brunch service, keep your station organized, and help the kitchen stay ready throughout the weekend.

Duties
- Set up and work a station during Saturday and Sunday brunch.
- Prep ingredients by chopping, slicing, marinating, cooking, and portioning.
- Complete prep for weekend service.
- Follow recipes, prep lists, plating standards, and portion sizes.
- Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized.
- Help with opening, closing, and kitchen cleanup.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment when needed.
- Support catering, private events, and cooking classes when scheduled.
- Monitor inventory and let the team know when items are running low.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Prior restaurant kitchen or line cook experience preferred.
- Strong prep skills and basic line experience.
- Able to work Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Friday availability for prep is strongly preferred.
- Filipino or Asian cooking experience is a major plus - but not required.
- Catering, banquet, or event experience is helpful.
- Able to work quickly and stay organized during busy service.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a small team.
- Willing to help where needed in the kitchen.
Schedule
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Friday or Thursdays: Prep shift
- Additional shifts may be available for catering, private events, classes, and special dinners based on your availability.
This is a paid, part-time position with the opportunity for additional hours.
