We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and customer-friendly employee to join our smoke shop team. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills, maintain a positive attitude, and always greet customers with a smile. Employees are expected to help keep the store clean, organized, and running smoothly while providing professional assistance to customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for cash, credit card, and other transactions
- Handle customer questions about products, pricing, and promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment at all times
- Perform all types of cleaning duties including:
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Cleaning counters, shelves, glass displays, and windows
- Taking out trash
- Restocking and organizing inventory
- Cleaning restrooms and employee areas
- Dusting products and maintaining store appearance
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking merchandise
- Follow all store policies and procedures
- Verify customer age and comply with all tobacco/vape sales laws and regulations
- Work as a team player and maintain a positive attitude with coworkers and customers
- Handle difficult customer situations calmly and professionally
- Maintain punctuality and dependable attendance
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of smoke shop products is a plus
- Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash responsibly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must always maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable, honest, and trustworthy
- Ability to lift boxes and stand for long periods of time
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed
- Must meet minimum legal age requirements to work in a smoke shop
