We are seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Budtender to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with selecting cannabis products that best meet their preferences and needs. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a welcoming, compliant, and educational retail experience while adhering to all state and company regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner.
- Provide accurate product information and educate customers on cannabis flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, vaporizers, topicals, and accessories.
- Help customers make informed purchasing decisions based on product knowledge and individual preferences while remaining compliant with state regulations.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Process cash, debit, and other approved payment transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all applicable state and local cannabis laws.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor displays and inventory.
- Participate in inventory counts, product receiving, and restocking as assigned.
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries in person and by phone.
- Promote a positive shopping experience through excellent customer service and product knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Stay current on cannabis products, industry trends, and regulatory updates through ongoing training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail, hospitality, sales, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and retain detailed product knowledge.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, and stocking merchandise.
- Ability to go up and down stairs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older in accordance with state cannabis regulations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to successfully complete any required background checks or licensing requirements, as applicable by state and local law.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
