Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customer Operations Specialist to serve as a key link between our clients, warehouse operations, and fulfillment systems.
This role is responsible for investigating operational exceptions, identifying root causes, making recommendations, communicating directly with clients, and driving issues through resolution.
Responsibilities
· Review and manage allocated but unshipped orders.
· Investigate backorders, inventory discrepancies, and carrier exceptions.
· Determine root causes of fulfillment issues and recommend corrective actions.
· Monitor client order flow and identify unusual activity or integration issues.
· Work directly with warehouse, inventory, and operations teams to resolve problems.
· Communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
· Make decisions regarding shipment releases, holds, reshipments, and escalations.
· Identify recurring issues and opportunities for operational improvement.
· Assist with customer onboarding, process improvements, reporting, and special projects.
Qualifications Required
· 3+ years of experience in logistics, fulfillment, supply chain, inventory management, customer success, account management, or operations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to independently investigate issues and determine appropriate next steps.
· Experience communicating directly with customers or business clients.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Experience working with spreadsheets, reports, and operational data.
Preferred
· Experience in a 3PL environment.
· Experience with Shopify, ecommerce fulfillment, or warehouse management systems.
· Experience with inventory control and order management.
· Advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience.
What We’re Looking For
This is not an entry-level position.
The ideal candidate is comfortable reviewing reports, identifying issues, determining root causes, and communicating recommendations to clients. They are able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of operational issues from investigation through resolution.
This position requires working in our Watertown office Monday through Friday.
Pay based on experience & ability.
