Remote Electrical EstimatorJob Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and/or residential electrical projects while working closely with project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates and material takeoffs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during the bidding process.
- Submit estimates and proposals within required deadlines.
- Maintain organized estimating records and documentation.
- Stay current with industry pricing, codes, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of commercial, industrial, or residential electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman electrician license or electrical field experience.
- Experience with Design-Build and Design-Assist projects.
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable local electrical codes.
